Loraine (Dube) Murphy died after a brief illness June 8, 2020.  Loraine was the wife of Richard E. Murphy Sr. with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.  He predeceased her in 2009.  Born in 1926 in Lawrence, Loraine was a graduate of St. Jean Baptist High School class of 1945.  She also attended Lynn Hospital School of Nursing.  Loraine loved craftwork and singing in the choir at Sacred Heart Church in Lynn.  Sewing for the family and knitting wool hats for preemies and for poor boxes were activities from which she obtained great satisfaction.  She leaves her daughter Kathleen Adams and her husband Joseph Adams of Lynn, her daughter Maureen MacDonald of Tucson, AZ and a son Richard E. Murphy Jr. and his life partner Bonnie R. McBride-Martin of Marblehead.  Loraine also leaves six grandchildren: Jacqueline D. O'Donnell and her husband Steven O'Donnell, Carleen Vann, Matthew R. Murphy, Kevin P. MacDonald, Timothy J. Murphy and Elizabeth C. Murphy.  She was also predeceased by her sister Jane Meadows of Florida and her brother Joseph L. Dube.  Private graveside services will be held.  Goodrich Funeral Home, Lynn.
