Louis E. Byrd, age 67, a beloved figure in Lynn, MA, sadly left our world on June 6th, after a life richly lived in service and kindness. Known for his passion in and around the game of basketball, Lou was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives through coaching and refereeing.

Lou is survived by his brother Jeffrey L. Byrd, his son Jordan Byrd, his nieces Misty Byrd, and Tonya Robinson' Smith, nephews Julius Byrd, and Jarell Byrd, his wife Geanni Byrd, and their son Javian Byrd, grandson Isaiah Shepard. Uncle Dr. Edward Robinson and cousin Maria Serrano.  He is preceded in death by his mother Joyce Byrd, and his sisters Judy and Denise Byrd. Lou's memory will be a guiding star for all who knew him, leaving a legacy through Isaiah Shepard and Javian Byrd.

A memorial Service will take place on June 15th, 2024, at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street Lynn from 11:00AM-2:00 PM, where we will honor Lou's enduring impact on our community and hearts.
