IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marc Geoffrey
Goldstein
December 5, 1949 – November 13, 2025
Entered into rest on November 13, formerly of Marblehead. Beloved husband of Mary (Toner) Goldstein for 48 years. Adoring and proud father of Maile and her husband, Adam Gilmore, of Marblehead, Meri and her husband, Andrew Keller, of Marblehead. Cherished grandfather of Dylan, Lani, Hailey, Callie, Wally, and Sadie. Admired brother of Darlene Goldstein of Lynn. Dear son of the late Alfred and Sylvia Goldstein. An honorary sibling to all the Toners and their families.
Marc attended Lynn English, graduated from Hebron Academy, and pursued his bachelor's degree at the University of Southern Maine. He spent six years in the Army National Guard before joining his family's business, Malden Mop & Broom Co., which later became Malco Industries.
As a close friend shared, Marc had a rare gift for making everyone feel at home. His kindness, fierce loyalty, and infectious sense of fun made him the kind of friend everyone hopes to find. He believed that if you are a good person, you will live a happy life, and we will all continue to honor that motto.
Marc loved long drives with the top down, riding his motorcycle, visiting his favorite restaurants, early-morning chats with his buddies, watching his grandsons play ball, and cheering on his granddaughters as they performed. He was always planning his next cruise and keeping an eye on the weather for all of us. Marc enjoyed spending the day at the beach with Mary, riding the waves and sharing lunch. He loved letting his hair grow long, wearing his viper shades, and surprising us with, or without, his staple mustache. He was never afraid to speak the truth if it meant helping a friend, and many counted on him for his thoughtful advice.
He was there when Lani received her acceptance to Cornell, Dylan earned his private pilot's license, Wally played flag football at Harvard, Hailey passed her lifeguard exam, Callie scored goal after goal, Sadie performed in her first cheer competition, and Meri launched Sourdough by the Sea. So many cherished moments and memories we will all hold dear.
After a heroic battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, "Goldie" is going to be missed by so many family members, friends, and neighbors. He loved travelling and was so looking forward to his next vacation with Mary. A private graveside service for Marc was held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Pride of Lynn. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his honor to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
