Obituary

Marguerite Adrianne Silencieux "Cecilien", 90, returned to her heavenly home on September 25, 2017. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Marguerite Adrianne Silencieux was born to the late Manasse Paul and Neselia Estimond Eugene, a coffee connoisseur and a farmer, in Ti Bouk, Portmagot on May 4, 1927. She was immersed in the Christian community and that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She learned the family trade and became a farmer for many years.

Marguerite was blessed with a large and loving family. She was married to Silencieux Cecilien. Marguerite helped raise her four children with patience, discipline and humility. She taught them about the meaning of life and provided them with an abundance of nurturance and love. From the very beginning, she dedicated her children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospels.

Marguerite was an educator at heart. She was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.

Marguerite is survived by her daughter Fernande Dejoie: her sons Mesmin Cecilien, Jean Remy Cecilien, Benel Dabel; her grandchildren Ferlanda Dejoie, Steve Mathieu, Frances Mathieu, Jessica Cecilien, Rose Cecilien, Ruben Cecilien, Bedelyne Dabel, Bedelyn Dabel, Lovenrdy Dabel, Kesnel Dabel, and David Dabel; and great grandchildren, Sincere Mathieu and Darien Janvier. She is preceded in death by her, granddaughter, Sheila Mathieu.

The wake for Marguerite is on October 6th 2017 from 5pm to 9pm at Goodrich Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 7th, 10:30 am at St Mary's Church (Lynn, Ma). The internment of Marguerite will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery. The family accepts flowers, which can be sent to Goodrich Funeral Home (128 Washington St. Lynn Ma, 01902)
