Obituary

Marjorie E. Thompson, age 100, died peacefully in her sleep on January 31, 2021.  She was a lifelong resident of Lynn.  She was also a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church and at one point, she was a Deaconess and choir member.  She was predeceased by her loving husband Walter C. Thompson, her mother Mildred Willis Ruffin Tyler, her father William Ruffin, son Thomas W. Thompson and sister Nancy Anderson.  She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (John) Walker of Lynn, Elizabeth (Allen) of NC and Debra Thompson of Lynn, a son Walter C. (Sharon) Thompson Jr., of TN, her sister Elenor Busby of Malden, 12 grandchildren, Walter "Pepi" Thompson NJ, Kimberley Thompson NJ, Lisa Reid MA, Keisha Reid MA, Robert Reid MA, David McCoy MD, Elizabeth-Brooke McCoy MA, Jennifer Boyd NC, Jacqueline Boyd NC, Allen Boyd MA, Jonathan Thompson TN and Malik Thompson TN, 11 great grandchildren, Alton "Aj" Lucas MA, Joshua Lopez MA, Jonah Reid MA, Dasia Walker MA, Danielle Boyd MA, Owen Boyd MA, Ameri Boyd MA, Jamea Thompson TN, Jonathon "Jr" Thompson TN, Chayse Thompson NJ and Jeanynne Harmon NJ, her sister-in-law Marion McCarley (Mac) of Delaware, also various nieces and nephews.  She was an avid word search player and also loved to shop and have her hair done.  She will be greatly missed.
