IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Grace
Holland
February 11, 2019
Mary Grace ("Nannie") Holland, age 90 of Lynn, formerly of Brooklyn, New York passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters on February 11, 2019. She was the cherished wife of the late Timothy Holland. Born in Ardralla, County Cork, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Agnes Cadogan nee O'Sullivan and Timothy Cadogan. She was a valued A&P employee for 20 years and cared for the elderly, as a home health aide, well into her 70s. For the past 10 years, Mary and her husband had been residents of Lynn where they moved to be with their daughter Agnes and granddaughter Eileen. Her family was the most important thing in her life; those loved ones in the States, as well as her family in Ireland, that she enjoyed visiting every summer. Mary enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner, traveling to New York to visit her granddaughters, listening to Irish music, sharing stories, taking care of her favorite pup Murphy, and would always have a pocket full of sweets. If you were looking for a laugh, a copilot, or a cup of tea, Nannie was always up for it. She was the loving mother of Agnes Leavey and her late husband James, a former Lynn firefighter. Nannie is survived by her grandchildren Mary Lawler of Farmingdale, NY, Eileen Leavey of Lynn, MA, Patrick Lawler of Brooklyn, NY and great-grandchildren.
