MaryJane "MJ" Melanson, age 81, of Lynn, and formerly of Wakefield, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the loving wife of Lenny Melanson, sharing 48 years together.  Born on March 16, 1938 in Wakefield, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Irene Meuse.  Prior to her retirement, she was a Nurse.  She enjoyed Country and Western Dancing.  In addition to her husband, MJ is survived by her children, Debra Garofalo and the late John Garofalo, Sherrie Dobbins and her husband Mike, Lenny Melanson and his wife Nicole, and the late Robert N. Hewitt, 7 grandchildren, John, Gina, Shawn, Kimberly, Danielle, Emily and Lenic, 6 great grandchildren, her in laws from Canada, Frank and Diane Melanson, Charline and Larry McKnight and Leoline and Norman He'tu and was loved by many.  She was predeceased by three sisters.  Her funeral service will be Monday, 9:00 a.m. from the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 8 South Common St., Lynn.  Visitation is Sunday, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
