It is with great sadness that the family of Maureen D. Mazariegos announce the end of her life journey. Maureen D. Sullivan Mazariegos (Nana/Nanabananna), 81, of Lynn, Ma, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen was born in Revere, MA. on February 13, 1943.  She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and friend to so many and was known for her kindness, generosity, and love for cats, which places her in a unique category long lost over the years.  She worked as a lunch lady for many years in the Lynn School System and loved working with the kids.  She met the love of her life on Revere Beach, and it was love at first sight! Her life changed in an instant and she never looked back.  She was a Music lover, especially Country music.  She loved Keith Urban.  She loved spending time with family and friends just watching her favorite shows and "spilling the tea" about the latest gossip.  It was always the little things in life that made her happy.

Maureen, aka Nana, will be greatly missed by her husband, and best friend of 52 years, Lauro Mazariegos Sr., her children Nicole Mazariegos, Tracy Dunn and Lauro Mazariegos, Jr., and her grandchildren Billy Mazariegos, Brendan Mazariegos, Arthur Suarez and Jacob Dunn, her cousins Patricia Devlin and Meghan McDonough, along with countless friends she has made over many years.  Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, John J. Sullivan and Margaret Frasier and her brother John (Jackie) Sullivan. She will be forever remembered and missed with all our hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate Maureen's life will be held at the Goodrich Funeral Home in Lynn, Ma.  Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
