Michael Anthony Robbins

1959 – 2026

Michael Anthony Robbins, 66, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. Born and raised in Boston, Michael spent the last 40 years as a resident of Malden, MA, where he raised his children with his wife, Mildred. Michael was born in Boston, MA on May 20, 1959 to his late parents Herman Robbins and Sarah (Ligon) Robbins. He was an Army veteran and for nearly 45 years, he worked as a Men’s Inn Guest Services Specialist at Pine Street Inn homeless shelter, where he was lovingly known as “Captain” Mike.

Michael is survived by his wife, Mildred (Davenport), of Malden, step-daughter, Charice-Michael (Sallone Davenport) Nguyen, of Nashua, NH, step-son, Sasha Davenport, of Nashua, NH, step-daughter, Sylea Davenport, of Malden, son, Shannon Robbins, of Malden, daughter, Sabrina Robbins, of Melrose, MA, son, Sherard Robbins, of Tucson, AZ, and adopted son, Torry (Busby) Robbins, as well as his grandchildren Bethany Nguyen, Toan Nguyen, Skyler Nguyen, Melora Hutcheson, Minerva Davenport, Slayden Robbins, and Samirah Robbins. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Thomas Nguyen, daughters-in-law, Stephanie Troutman-Robbins and Yasmina Walker, as well as his sister, Anita Robbins, her sons, Tyson and Leonard, his brother-in-law, Cecil C. Busby, Jr. and his wife, Carole Busby, and various other cousins and relatives.

Michael was also predeceased by his father-in-law, Cecil C. Busby, Sr., mother-in-law, Eleanor Busby, brother-in-law, Richard Busby, and grandson, Rex Troutman.

Michael’s services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Zion Baptist Church in Lynn, MA, with the viewing from 10:00am – 11:00am followed by the funeral service from 11:00am – 12:00pm. He will be interred at Forestdale Cemetery in Malden, MA immediately after the services.
