Nancy H. Galvin, age 82, of Lynn, formerly of Marblehead, died November 17, 2014 at the Aviv Center in Peabody. She was the wife of the late Amador M. Galvin. Born in Lynn, MA and raised in Marblehead; she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Madeline (Doliber) Bowden.
Nancy graduated from Marblehead High School. She served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. She was later employed at the G.E. River Works and the Alba Nursing Home both in Lynn.
For many years Nancy was an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Lynn/Swampscott.
She was the mother of Dan Shaw of Brewer, ME, Susan Spinelli of Florida, Stephen Luca of Lynn, Thomas Luca of Philadelphia, PA, Joseph Luca of Lynn and the late David Luca. She is survived by nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Isabelle Brightman, Marguerite Spanks, James Bowden, Ernest Bowden and Harold Bowden.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 23rd at 11 A.M. in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, followed by burial in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Visiting hours are Friday, 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends invited.
