Nancy Ann (Doucette) Lewis, 82, of Melrose, MA and formerly of Lynn, MA, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2026, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a brief illness.

Born and raised in Lynn, Nancy was the daughter of James and Margaret "Dot" (Patten) Doucette. She worked for many local businesses throughout her life, most recently at The Home Depot in Salem.

Nancy enjoyed the company of friends, a good game of cards, and the excitement of bingo. Known for her generosity and willingness to help others, she quietly gave her time and energy to friends in need.

Nancy is survived by her son, Richard Lewis; her daughter, Debra McLernon, and her husband, Robert; and her granddaughters, Samantha Sullivan and Kara Sullivan. She is also survived by her brothers, John Doucette and his wife, Darlene; William Doucette and his wife, Noreen; James Doucette; Richard Doucette and his wife, Lucy; and Robert Doucette.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lewis; her son, Robert "R.J." Lewis; and her sisters, Dorothy Szabacsi and Donna Finnegan.

Nancy will also be deeply missed by her many friends at the Cefalo Memorial Complex in Melrose, especially Julia and Reisa, whose friendship meant so much to her.


There will be no services and burial will be private. Donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House or the American Cancer Society.
