Nancy Jean Shabarekh, age 54, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 14, 2016. Born in New London, CT, she was the beloved daughter of Anthony J. Sr. and Helen Shabarekh, both of New London. In addition to her parents, Nancy is survived by her very much loved son, Wesley Hill III and his beautiful daughter Aila Jade Hill, who was the apple of Nancy's eye. She also leaves behind three brothers, Anthony J. Jr. of New London, Louis C. of Salem and Christopher C. of Beverly, as well as Uncle Richard Aldrich of New London. Nancy was Auntie to six nieces and one nephew and great-auntie to several great nieces and nephews. Nancy spent many happy years working outdoors, first at Highland Gardens, (now closed) and most recently at Thompson's Landscaping, both located in Salem. She also leaves behind a large group of friends that she considered family, along with their children, and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Visitation will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn on Tuesday 4-8 p.m. The family will host a lunch at the home of Louis Shabarekh prior to the visitation. If you were ever "adopted" by Nancy or her family, you are welcome to join us.
