Patricia Alice O'Neil 76, of Lynn, MA passed away April 30th after a decline in health.  Born July 28, 1947 in Lynn, MA to the late Daniel J. O'Neil Jr. and Muriel R. (Cashman) O'Neil.  Pat, a life long Lynn resident, was a graduate of Lynn English H.S. class of 1965.  After graduation she went on to have a successful career in finance with John Hancock, First Marblehead and PNC Bank and then retired in 2009.

Pat was always about enjoying life and being there for family and friends.  She enjoyed darts, bowling, music, and cooking, she made a carrot cake that was always welcomed at any holiday gathering or party! Pat, always a sports fan, loved watching the Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and Bruins!  She enjoyed traveling with both friends and family, going on vacations to Switzerland, Hawaii, Ireland, Alaska, Canada and the Caribbean.  She went to Seattle, WA to visit her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins numerous times over the years.  Auntie Pat was the aunt everyone wanted, she took her nieces and nephews on vacations to Disney World, N.Y. City at Christmas time with the John Hancock Group or N.H. for a week on a lake, Weirs Beach, Canobie Lake or N. Conway! She would have sleepovers with Grampa Terry making popcorn, pizza and root beer floats as well as cookouts in the backyard on Sluice Pond.  She would take them to Boston for the concerts on the Esplanade, or shopping for school clothes.  Pat was a lover of lobster rolls, lasagna, chocolate trifle and ice cream, especially cherry vanilla!  Pat and her work friends stayed in touch enjoying a Saturday luncheon every 6 weeks alternating who hosts the get together, making sure to keep the friendship alive.  Pat spent her last leg of her life's journey at The Lynn Home For Elderly Persons, a place she embraced.  The family cannot express how grateful they are for the exceptional care and attention the staff gave to our sister, aunt and friend, it will always be cherished.

Pat was the oldest of 6 siblings, Joseph F. O'Neil of Lynn, John F. O'Neil and his wife Annette of Lynn, Janice M. Gray of Beverly, Robin A. Painchaud and her husband Steven of Naples, FL and Lynn and Robert O. O'Neil of Lynn as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.  She had a long time friend, Marie Conway, who was there for her.  Although she loved all her nieces and nephews, a special thanks to her niece Lisa O'Neil who took great care of her.

Pat was predeceased by her two long time companions, Dave Kelley who passed away in 1992, and Terrence (Terry) Collins who passed in 2017, also predeceased by her brother in law Dennis Gray.
