Phan Suon, age 77, was a long time resident of Revere,MA and moved to Lynn in 2017. She peacefully passed away Monday, August 28, 2023. She was the wife of the late Oeurm Pop. She was born and raised in Kampot, Cambodia. She came to the United States in 1985 with her five sons and three daughters. She came to the United States in 1985 with her five sons and two daughters. Due to the war, she parted ways with her 3rd daughter in Cambodia. Phan was a minimalist and enjoyed the simple things in life. You may have known Phan to spend a lot of time at her favorite Cambodian, Buddhist temple
(Wat Ratanarangsey) in Revere,Ma. She spent many years creating everlasting friendships that then became family and a second home.
Phan was an orphan, and faced many hardships during her early years of life. Through her strength and resilience she survived as a strong woman who worked various jobs to support her family. She was a dedicated mother with a kind heart, loving to all and extraordinary. She loved and valued the simplicity of life; and always remained optimistic through all and any obstacles she may have faced.
Phan is survived by her four sons, Chan Pop, Em Pop, Orn Pop, Oeun Pop, her daughter Ann Pop along with their spouses, her daughter Sunya Ray and her husband Leon Ray Jr, 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and her beloved goldendoodle named Wasabi.
Phan was adored by all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation at Goodrich funeral home on Friday, September 8th from 3-6 PM.
