Pierre Passos Alvarez passed away in Lynn, MA on Friday, May 8, 2026 at the age of 53.

He is survived by his wife Becky Schall; his son Tiago; mother Maria Luiza; sisters Silvia and Mariliza and a large extended family.

Pierre had a gift for making people laugh. He loved playing mischievous pranks, telling jokes and stories, and bringing humor into everyday little moments. He loved working with his hands, fixing things and helping others whenever he could.

Having spent most of his life in his hometown of Mogi das Cruzes, Sao Paulo, Brazil, he had several professions. As a natural salesman, he ran his own small newspaper and local TV broadcast, sold real estate, threw pizza and found work that brought himself pride and satisfaction.

As part of his United States exploration, he visited New England several times before growing roots in MA. Pierre embraced the American dream in every way, from his businesses to his Harley Davidson, and ultimately culminating with his US Citizenship in 2025. This was a milestone that meant a great deal to him and reflected his determination, resilience, and hope for the future.

He loved food and so often struggled between trying some new restaurant or returning to one of his favorites. With his American life he discovered a love for skiing, baseball, not too spicy Indian food and sharing his Brazilian heritage with anyone who showed an interest. He rediscovered his love of cars, singing, swimming, and making new friends.

He was always reaching out to his friends, rarely going an hour without speaking to a friend or family member, often just to check in. He spoke to his beloved son most days, multiple times a day.

Pierre carried his love of family, laughter, and adventure with him throughout his life. Those who knew Pierre will remember his generous heart, playful personality, and the warmth and energy he brought into every room. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, May 15 at 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Goodrich Funeral Home in Lynn MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. https://afsp.org/
