Ralph "Cliffie" Bucknam Jr., age 78, formerly of Swampscott and Saugus, passed away at Care One in Peabody February 4, 2016. The oldest of ten children, he was born in Lynn to the late Ralph Sr. and Marion (Kenyon) Bucknam. He was also known as "the Guzzler" on CB radio and enjoyed riding his scooter. He was a friend of Bill W., a member of AA for 27 years of sobriety. His expression was "keep the plug in the jug." In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Kevin Bucknam and Allen Bucknam, and is survived by 5 brothers and 2 sisters; Gilbert Bucknam of Billerica, Robin Bucknam of Lynn, David Bucknam of Lynn, Mark Bucknam of Billerica and Steven Bucknam of NH, Nancy Lear of Danvers and Sherry Pedra of Melrose, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral service will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn on Tuesday, during the visiting hours of 5-8 p.m.
