Richard C. Carlton, age 78, of Lynn, passed away on September 24, 2020 of Alzheimer's disease.  He was the beloved husband of 52 years of Barbara (Joyce) Carlton.  Richard was predeceased by his sons Kevin Carlton and Christopher Carlton.  He was the son of the late ERNEST Carlton and the late Doris Harrell.  Brother of the late William Carlton and the late Judith Carlton Gilligan.  He was the brother of Dennis Harrell and his wife Kathy of Lynn and Peter Harrell of Hawaii.  He leaves his sister in law Mary P. Joyce of Wakefield and he was the brother in law of the late Chris Joyce of Lynn.  Graduating from Lynn English with the class of 1960, Rich then served with the United States Air Force, doing a tour in Greenland.  Rich was a longtime member of the Gannon Golf Course and once hit a hole in one – a very proud moment indeed!  He was employed by Capital Carpet of Woburn for many years.  Rich was kind and funny.  He will be missed.  Services are private.  Arrangements by the Goodrich Funeral Home of Lynn.
