Richard "Ricky" Curran, age 50, of Warwick, RI, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of Marjorie (Heckbert) Shanoski and the late Edward Shanoski Sr.
Ricky was a graduate of Lynn Tech, and had resided in Rhode Island for the past thirty years. He was a full time machinist, starting at the age of 18. Most recently, he was working in billing at Central Scale in Warwick.
He loved playing with his nieces and nephews who fondly referred to him as "Uncle Turkey". He enjoyed playing the slots, bowling and boating.
In addition to his mother, Ricky is survived by his daughter, Jessica L. Curran; his siblings Jim Shanoski, Laurieanne Shanoski-Sandoval and Leeanne Tinkham and his sweetheart Kaylene Chandler. He also leaves many cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts including Josephine Funicella. He was the brother of the late Jeff Curran and Edward Shanoski Jr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours Thursday, 3-7 P.M. at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn. Burial will be private. For those desiring, memorials may be made to the Jeremiah House, 2045 Elmwood Ave., Warwick, RI 02888.
