Richard E. Kobs age 77 died on January 25, 2023 and is now in Heaven. He was born in Cambridge and was a long-time resident of Chelsea and in his later years lived in East Boston.  He was a wonderful son, brother and uncle.  He was all about family.  His twin brother is Robert who resides in California.  His other siblings were Barbara, Hazel, Alberta and Sony.  Richard had 17 nieces and nephews and 40 great nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.  Family was very important to Richard, and he was always there for everyone.  He was a kind, caring and sociable person.  He was always funny and loved to make people laugh.

Richard worked as a driver for many years and his las job was driving for meals on wheels serving the elderly community.  He drove cross country to visit family in his younger years.  Richard enjoyed attending church services every week.  He loved listening to his scanner and keeping up to date with everything going on in the city.  He enjoyed shopping for antiques and spending time with friends.  He was a walker and loved walking the beach.  One of his favorite pastimes was going out to eat, especially Italian food.  The family called him Uncle Macaroni.  He will be missed by all his family and friends.

A service for Richard will be held at Goodrich Funeral Home in Lynn, on Tuesday, January 31st from 10:30 to 1:00.  All are welcome.
