It is with heavy hearts that we must confirm that on the faithful day of the second of April, in the year of two thousand and sixteen, our beloved Ricky Roum, at the tender age of 47, has since passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, friends, and a genuine type of love that only a man of his fiber could organically command. Known endearingly to his closest family and friends as Koun, a sobriquet earned from his childhood home of Battambang, Cambodia, Ricky was by all accounts a man of formidable fortitude. Through sheer strength, unwavering willpower, and unrelenting perseverance, Ricky valorously fought and survived a genocidal holocaust in his youth. Escaping the never ending violence that plagued his homeland, in pursuance of the American dream, Ricky built himself a wonderful life in America, his adoptive home of thirty-one years. In his life, he made lifelong bonds with family and friends, even finding himself an eternal soulmate, a rare unicorn if there ever was one. At the peak of his prime, Ricky was wildly adventurous, with a taste for anything and everything culinary. On par with his open mindedness, Ricky was ever so generous and loyal to a fault, going out of his way to help those he held dear.

Ricky Roum is survived by his wife, Loeung Prum and their son, Radeka Roum; his father, Or Roum; his parents-in-law, Ith Prum and Mith Chan; his brother Karath Roum, his wife Sreymom Chheak, and their children, Sokun and Kanyka; his brother Chek Roum, his wife Sokha Thong, and their children, Molyka and Jaydyn; his sister Roeuy Roum, her husband Roeun Sao, and their children Raiya and Raiyanny; his brother-in-law Ka Sonny Prum, his wife Teavyuok Prum, and their children Jonathan, Jennifer, Salina, Jeremy, and Sofia; his brother-in-law Kha Prum, his wife Gwen Prum, and their children Khaylee and Kassadee; his brother-in-law Sora Prum, his wife Roeum Hom, and their children Ethan, Rashawn, and Adrian; and his brother-in-law Samrith Prum. He is also survived by many loving family members from all around the globe.
