Robert J. "Muz" Murray, age 83, of Lynn, passed away January 22, 2018 following a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Carol L. (Feener) Murray, with whom he shared more than 50 years of marriage. Born and raised in South Boston, he resided in Lynn for 47 years. He was a Veteran, serving with the United States Army, 82nd airborne. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the City of Lynn School Department. He was a member of the DAV and the HOBO Club of South Boston. Robert loved baseball and coached Little League. He enjoyed horse racing and family gatherings. In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his son Christopher and his wife Kathy of Lynn, his son Brian and his wife Diane of Salem, and granddaughters Emma and Gillian of Lynn. He was the son of the late Edward and Margaret Murray and brother of the late Barbara and Edward. His funeral service will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, on Saturday at noon. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
