Robert K. Reynolds, age 59, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away at home on March 15, 2015 following a brief illness. He was the former husband of Lori E. (McMurray) Reynolds of Port Charlotte, Florida.
Born and raised in Lynn, Robert (Bob, Bobby) was the son of the late Robert L. and Mary Norma (Broderick) Reynolds. He was educated in Lynn and a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, Class of 1974.
Bob was a skilled automobile mechanic having previously worked for Ward's Mobil in Lynn. He also worked at Lynn Sand & Stone in Swampscott, Broadway Taxi in Saugus, and Lynnway Auto Auction in Lynn. He was an avid Boston sports fan. He was so looking forward to celebrating his sixtieth birthday on June 1st.
In addition to his former wife, Lori, he leaves his children, Nicole M. Reynolds of Port Charlotte, FL, Amanda L. Reynolds of Lynn, and Keith R. Reynolds also of Port Charlotte, FL. He was the brother of Cynthia L. Reynolds of Lynn, and Cheryl A. Trasher and her husband, Philip A. Trasher, Jr. of Marblehead. He is survived by his nephews and niece, Samuel B. Trasher, Philip A. Trasher III, and Emily W. Trasher all of Marblehead. Bob loved his family and friends and is also survived by many cousins.
Visiting hours are Sunday, March 22 from 4-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. in the GOODRICH FUNERAL HOME, 128 Washington St., Lynn. Burial will be in Swampscott Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
