Roger A. Spanks, born on December 3, 1937, passed away on November 12, 2022.

The son of Arthur G. Spanks and Elizabeth (Griffin) Spanks, Roger was a lifelong Lynn resident, and attended Lynn public schools, graduating from Lynn English High School in 1955.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1956-1960, where he served as an accountant. He also worked in the retail industry for over 40 years.

Roger was an avid lover of golf. He began as a caddy when he was nine years old, and worked his way up to competing, and winning many trophies. Additionally, he was a lover of movies, and had a particular love for the Star Wars franchise.

He came from a family of eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his brother, Arthur Spanks, Jr.

Roger would like to extend his sincere gratitude toward Greater Lynn Senior Services for their hard work and dedication to his care throughout the years.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, 145 Boston Street, Lynn, on Monday November 28, 2022 at 10:00am. All those attending will meet inside the main entrance on Boston Street.
