Rose Marie Lopez, born on April 29, 1951, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with ALS.
Rose spent her early years in Seabrook, New Hampshire, and Salisbury, Massachusetts. She later met the love of her life, Efrain "Frank" Lopez, and together they built a beautiful life in Lynn, Massachusetts. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, devotion, and partnership, spanning 57 wonderful years.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Rose's greatest joy in life was her family. She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Lillian Caron and Eugene Hughes; her stepfather, Phillip Caron; and her cherished daughter, Michele "Shelly" Lopez of Lynn.
She is survived by her loving husband, Efrain "Frank" Lopez; her beloved daughter, Rose Marie Noonan of Lynn; and her treasured grandchildren: Jami Doherty and her husband, Dan, of Woburn; Jalisa Thornton of Lynn; Christina Mackenzie of Lynn; Michael Noonan and his wife, Carly, of Suffield, Connecticut; and Aleka Felings of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Rose also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren, Jailianna, Ethan, Teagan, and Hailey, who brought immeasurable joy and pride to her life. She is further survived by her beloved sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Rose spent more than 20 years serving her community through her work with Carmen Zollo and Eliot Community Human Services. Known for her compassion, strong work ethic, and commitment to helping others, she touched countless lives throughout her career before retiring in 2022.
In her free time, Rose enjoyed walks along the beach, exercising, shopping for a good bargain, exploring the latest technology gadgets, listening to music, dancing, and sharing her love of cars. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. Sunday dinners were among her greatest joys, bringing loved ones together around the table to enjoy her famous home-cooked meals.
Rose will be remembered for her warmth, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her.
Funeral Services
Visitation for Rose will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Goodrich Funeral Home 128 Washington St. Lynn. A Funeral Service for Rose will begin following Visitation at 9:30 a.m. at Goodrich Funeral Home, followed by the burial at Pine Grove Cemetery.
