Savoeun Van, age 72, of Revere, MA, passed away at home, Friday, January 15, 2016, surrounded by those he loved. Savoeun was born March 8, 1943 in Battambang, Cambodia. He was a survivor of the Khmer Rouge regime. In 1983, he immigrated to the United States as a refugee with his wife and five children. He successfully opened a multiservice company in 1986 that started as a cleaning service and evolved into printing services, translations, legal help and life establishment for other Cambodian refugees.
Savoeun is survived by his loving wife Savy Ving; his children Alune, Amab, Sita, Chhaiden and Karo Van; his much adored grandchildren, Leanne Keo, Derek Aut and Nicholas Ford; his brothers in Cambodia and many much loved nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his sister and his mother Soth.
Visitation at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St. Lynn, on Friday 4-7 P.M. Funeral will take place Saturday at 8 A.M. followed by cremation at Harmony Grove Crematory.
