Leander, Texas; Scott Norman Sheehan, age 55, died September 23, 2017 after a lengthy illness surrounded by family. Husband of Paula (San Juan) Sheehan. Born in Lynn, he was the son of Adele (Batchelder) Sheehan-Raskin of Peabody and the late Norman G. Sheehan formally of Florida. Scott was a graduate of Lynn Vocational Technical High School and had served as a correctional officer for the Commonwealth of MA. Scott loved life and was passionate about his children, and would do anything for them. He lived in Lynn for most of his life, until shortly after his marriage to Paula and the birth of their son Derek. He loved Texas and did his best to convince his family to move there. He enjoyed dining out with family and friends, watching movies, and spending time at his church, the Bible Baptist Church of Pflugerville, Texas. Scott is survived by his children: Taryn Sheehan RN of Burlington; Corey Sheehan, employed by the MA State Police, of Lynn; and Derek Sheehan of Leander, Texas; step-daughter Pamela Rice and her husband Nathan of Leander Texas. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Sheehan Roche of Swampscott, her husband Steve and their three children: Carissa, Dillon, and Taylor; his sister Kerri Sheehan Hernandez of Swampscott and her four children: Alyssia, John, Colton, and Chloe; and his brother Jerry Sheehan of Danvers, his wife Eliane and their children William and Jonathan. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Sofia Tadjer of Burlington and Tyler Sheehan of Lynn, Aunt Barbara Batchelder of Peabody, as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 30th 9AM at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St. Lynn, MA 01902, followed by internment at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday, September 29th at Goodrich Funeral Home from 4-8PM. Family and Friends invited.
