Shirley Diane Saunders of Salem, Massachusetts was called home to be with Lord at the age of 74 on July 16, 2021.

She worked as a nurse for over 20+ years at Shaughnessy Hospital now known as Spaulding Hospital where she took great care of her patients. She retired in 2017.

Infamously known as one of the cooks at St. Steven's Episcopal Church soul food dinner. Her fried chicken is going to be greatly missed.

Shirley loved her family. She loved going shopping and she loved to party. Affectionately known to many as "Aunt Shirley" she was a one-of-a-kind person that opened her heart and home to everyone. She was a beautiful soul with a laugh that was contagious to all.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her loving memory include her only daughter Sharon Saunders, her grandsons Shakir White, Amaury Van Alstyne, great granddaughter Zendaya White, nieces, nephews, and a host of family members and friends.

Her services will be held at Goodrich Funeral Home in Lynn Massachusetts on Saturday July 31, 2021 visitation starting at 1:00p with the memorial service from 3:00pm 4:00pm.
