Sophie (Sotiropoulos) Nalesnik, age 91, of Lynn, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019 following a brief illness.  Born on June 10, 1927, in Ipswich but a lifelong resident of Lynn.  She was the daughter of the late John and Helen Sotiropoulos.  Sister of Constance Sotiropoulos and Bessie Warner and the late Nafsika Simbliaris and Fannie White.  She had worked for many years at Champion Lamp in Lynn.  Sophie was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Philoptohos and St. George Ladies Society of Lynn.  She is survived by her son James Nalesnik and his wife Rose of Lynn, her daughter Kathryn (Elaine) Canning and her husband Phil of North Andover, grandchildren Michael and Mark Canning, Kristy St. Pierre and James Nalesnik.  She was adored and loved by her great grandchildren, Ashley, Amanda, Annabelle, Chloe and Sage Canning, Page Nalesnik, Brendon Torsey and Teagan Landry.  Sophie's funeral will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Lynn, on Monday at noon.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.  Visitation is also Monday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J.
