In Loving Memory of Todd Jason Avery
April 25, 1966 – July 29, 2026
Todd Jason Avery, age 60, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, on April 25, 1966, Todd was the beloved son of Leroy and Claire Avery. He grew up in the local area and was a proud graduate of Lynn English High School.
Following high school, Todd answered the call to serve his country as a dedicated Marine Veteran of the United States Military. His patriotism and love for his country were central to his character. Upon returning to civilian life, Todd poured his massive heart into his community. As a passionate community organizer, he dedicated his time to counseling reformed inmates, guiding them toward new beginnings, and fiercely giving back to the neighborhood he loved.
Todd was a vibrant soul known for his kindness, boundless generosity, and warm personality. He had a sharp intellect, quick wit, and a contagious sense of humor that could light up any room. He was also widely admired for his sharp sense of style, his deep love of music and movies, and his passion for sports, especially football, basketball, and boxing. Above all, Todd was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends, touching countless lives through his everyday acts of love and gratitude.
Todd’s legacy of love lives on through his children: Ebony, Isaih, Leroy, Dominique, and Todd Jr. He is also survived by his devoted siblings: Barbara Rivera, David Avery, Deborah Bello, Theresa Harris, and Lena Nelson, alongside a large, cherished circle of extended family members and lifelong friends.
