Warner Anthony Smith was born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Edward and Attee (Molden) Smith.

He grew up in Roxbury, Massachusetts. He received his high school education at Boston English H.S. It was at an English High School Dance where he met his future wife, Elizabeth Bradley. Elizabeth didn’t want to attend the dance but her sister, Anna, wouldn’t accept “no” for an answer. After meeting the love of his life, he later went on to serve in the United States Army Reserves. Upon his return from the Army Reserves, he and Elizabeth continued dating and were married in 1981. Over the next decade, he became the loving father of three children and thereafter, four grandchildren. Warner was a jack of all trades where he possessed skills in carpentry, plumbing and auto repairs. But his strongest skill which he loved was painting.

Ex-wife, Elizabeth A. Smith; Three children, Jacenta E.P. Smith of Fall River, Warner A. Smith, Jr. of Lynn and Drake A. Smith of Fall River; four grandchildren: Nicholas Z. Vasquez of Fall River, David W. Garcia of Fall River, Warner T. Smith of Lynn, and Gabriel A. Lugo of Fall River; Seven surviving siblings: George Smith of North Carolina, Ethel Jones of North Carolina, Ricco Smith of Boston, Michael Smith of Framingham, Niecy Smith of Boston, Joseph Smith of Lynn, and Joanne Barnes of Boston.

Preceding him in death are his parents, six siblings, two nephews, one niece, four brothers-in-law; five ex-brothers-in-law; one ex-niece-in-law.

He leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, grand and great-grand nephews and nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends to morn his loss.

Calling Hours for Warner will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 10am-11am, at Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington Street, Lynn, MA. A Funeral Service will be held following Calling Hours at 12pm on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Goodrich Funeral Home; followed by a procession to Pine Grove Cemetery for Graveside Committal Services.
